Outstanding numbers are the bare minimum. The value is in the thinking.
Any firm can file on time — we do that in our sleep. Then we look up: what's the cash telling us, where's the tax leaking, what does this mean for the plan you're actually chasing?
You get a named, qualified accountant who knows your business, picks up the phone, and talks straight before they reach for the jargon. Sharp on the technical detail. Small enough to still care whose name is on the door.

Frequently asked questions
Short, plain answers to what South African business owners ask us most.
What does TBL Accounting do?
TBL Accounting is a South African accounting firm for owner-managed businesses, and part of The Caban Group. We provide bookkeeping and management accounts, payroll, tax and VAT, trusts, valuations, company secretarial work and outsourced CFO services, across 16 services and 13 sectors.
Does TBL Accounting perform audits?
No. We prepare your numbers so that your auditor or independent reviewer can sign them off without delay.
What is the difference between TBL Accounting and Caban Corporate Advisors?
TBL runs the finances; Caban does the deals. TBL Accounting handles the accounting, payroll, tax and compliance. Buying, selling, merging or raising capital is a transaction and sits with Caban Corporate Advisors, with a clean handover.
Do you work with South African businesses that have UK operations?
Yes. TBL Accounting serves South African businesses in South Africa and the UK, including those with UK subsidiaries, customers or investors. See South Africa and the UK.
How do I get started?
Book a call or message us on WhatsApp. A named, qualified accountant will tell you what they would look at first. Choosing between firms? Our guide on how to choose an accountant lists the questions to ask any of them.
Can you work with my business if I am not near your office?
Yes. We work on cloud accounting systems, so businesses across South Africa are served remotely, with offices in Gauteng, Cape Town and Durban. We also serve South African businesses with UK operations.
How much do your accounting services cost?
Fees depend on the services you need, how many entities you have and how much reporting you want. We quote a fixed monthly fee against a written scope. Book a call, tell us where things stand, and a named accountant will scope it with you.
