Short, plain answers to what South African business owners ask us most.
What is a fixed asset register?
It is a record of the long-life assets a business owns, such as equipment, vehicles and furniture, with each asset's cost, location and depreciation. An accurate register keeps your balance sheet true and supports your tax allowance claims.
Which tax allowances can be claimed on business assets?
TBL Accounting works out capital (wear-and-tear) allowances and the Section 12B and 12C allowances, and includes asset-related tax planning in the service.
Why physically verify and tag assets?
So the register matches what is actually in the building. An out-of-date register can mean missed depreciation allowances and unpleasant surprises at audit or insurance-claim time.

Talk to a real accountant, not a call centre.
Tell us when the asset register was last checked and a named, qualified accountant will get it accurate — no queue, no junior.
- 1You tell us where things stand.
- 2A named accountant tells you what they would look at first.
- 3You decide what happens next.
