How we write it

Sources first: SARS, CIPC, National Treasury, the Government Gazette and, for South Africans in the UK, HMRC and GOV.UK. Each item is dated and linked. We label what is proposed and what is law. When something is announced and later reversed, we say so. Items are checked against their sources before publication. Where we could not confirm a fact from a primary source, we left it out.

Would you rather someone else handled it?

The Brief tells you what changed. If you would like a named accountant to take care of the filings, the payroll and the deadlines, tell us where things stand.

What happens on the call
  1. 1You tell us where things stand.
  2. 2A named accountant tells you what they would look at first.
  3. 3You decide what happens next.
